Arsenal beat the 10-man Tigers 4-1 on Saturday evening.

Alexis Sanchez was in the thick of things as Arsenal beat Hull City 4-1 on Saturday evening.

The Chilean schemer was credited with opening the scoring on 17 minutes at the KC Stadium when Alex Iwobi’s goal-bound effort deflected off him en route to the net.

It might be one for the dubious goals panel, but Sanchez missed the chance to score a perfectly legitimate goal of his own on 41 minutes.

Arsenal were awarded a penalty when Jake Livermore intentionally handled inside the ball, earning him a red card, but the Gunners star saw a poor spot kick saved by Eldin Jakupovic.

Despite having 10 men, Robert Snodgrass halved the deficit for Hull on 79 minutes, after Theo Walcott doubled the lead.

But Sanchez found himself with a chance to atone for his earlier gaffe and nobody expected him to miss – and he didn’t.

Granit Xhaka put the seal on things in the closing stages in fine fashion as Arsenal picked up a third successive Premier League win.
