Pablo Mari will surely leave Arsenal this summer and a shock suitor has now emerged with AC Milan interested in the defender.
Fans always want to know about potential incomings and Arsenal have already secured five additions with Matt Turner, Marquinhos, Fabio Vieira and Gabriel Jesus brought in.
Yet there must also be a focus on offloading fringe players to clear room in the squad and on the wage bill.
Arsenal need to sell the likes of Bernd Leno, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Hector Bellerin among many others this summer.
One such player is Pablo Mari, who surely doesn’t have a future at Arsenal this summer.
Pablo Mari will surely leave Arsenal
Defender Mari was actually the first signing of the Mikel Arteta era, arriving on loan from Flamengo back in January 2020.
Edu knew the Brazilian market and Arteta may have been familiar with former Manchester City defender Mari.
The deal was eventually turned permanent with Mari seen as a capable, left-sided defender who could offer depth at the back.
Mari has only ever played 19 times for Arsenal though – despite being branded a ‘leader’ by Arteta – and spent the second half of last season on loan at Udinese.
The Spaniard impressed there and whilst Udinese may not be signing Mari permanently, he could still end up in Italy.

Tuttomercatoweb report that AC Milan have been making enquiries about a potential deal for Mari.
Milan won Serie A last season and will be playing in the Champions League next season, surely making them hugely appealing to Mari.
Milan seem keen on a left-footed centre back with Alessio Romagnoli leaving the club this summer.
Their top target was Sven Botman, but he decided to leave Lille for Newcastle United rather than head to the San Siro.
That means Milan must now look for other centre back options and Mari appears to be their next target.
Arsenal surely won’t stand in Mari’s way and may even be hoping for a cash offer in order to sell the defender and reinvest.
