Arsenal talent Mika Biereth has been named in Chris Sutton’s Team of the Week for the Scottish Premiership.
Mika Biereth has made a great start to life at Motherwell and Chris Sutton appears to have been suitably impressed.
Biereth joined Arsenal from Fulham back in 2021 having shown promise in the Craven Cottage ranks.
The 6ft 2in striker has shown promise in the Arsenal ranks, hitting 12 goals and five assists in 26 Under-21 games.
Biereth was spent last season on loan at Dutch side RKC Waalwijk, scoring just twice in 13 appearances.
A mid-table finish was secured in the Netherlands but that spell understandably didn’t take Biereth into first-team reckoning at Arsenal.
The Dane is off on loan again having secured a move to Scotland with Motherwell.
It’s fair to say that Biereth has made a dream start to life in Lanarkshire…

Arsenal talent Mika Biereth catches Chris Sutton’s eye on Motherwell debut
Biereth came off the bench for Motherwell to make his debut against Hibernian on Saturday afternoon.
The score was 0-0 when Biereth was introduced but he quickly made an enormous impact.
Biereth created the opening goal for Motherwell, showing good strength, balance and persistence to win a ball down the right flank.
Biereth drove towards goal before cutting back for Connor Wilkinson to fire home the opener.

It was then time for Biereth to find the net himself as his pace caused Hibernian problems before twisting and turning to eventually make it 2-0.
Hibernian did pull one back but nothing was going to overshadow Biereth’s dream debut as he bagged a goal and an assist.
Biereth may have only been a substitute but he did enough to dazzle Chris Sutton as the pundit name the Arsenal talent in his Scottish Premiership Team of the Week.
The hope is that Biereth can really kick on this season and we may well see him in a few more of Sutton’s Team of the Week picks yet.
