Arsenal or Newcastle United could sign a ‘huge star in the making’ with the Premier League-linked Rasmus Hojlund taking his Atalanta form onto the international stage, according to Denmark legend Thomas Graversen.
He doesn’t just sound like Erling Haaland, he scores like him too.
And with Manchester City’s Norse Force unavailable for international duty due to injury, his near-namesake from the south took it upon himself to become Scandinavia’s premiere goal getter as the Euro 2024 qualification campaign got underway last week.

Not content with an Erling-esque hat-trick against Finland, Hojlund scored twice more against Kazakhstan on Sunday. That’s 12 goals in his last 13 starts for club and country.
Could Hojlund be the final piece of Denmark’s jigsaw? The prolific number nine the Dane’s have been crying out for?
Arsenal and Newcastle United like Denmark striker Rasmus Hojlund
“He must have all the support he can get,” former Everton and Real Madrid enforcer Graversen tells Tipsbladet. “I have always said that the most important thing in a football team is the striker. He really is a striker to my liking.
“He has that attitude that he will probably force the ball in. Even if it means he has to throw himself through a man and chop off his leg. It radiates from him that he wants this.”
According to TuttoAtalanta, both Arsenal and Newcastle have already seen enough to convince them to meet the £44 million price-tag on Hojlund’s head. Imagine; Haaland vs Hojlund, a Scandinavian scuffle at the very peak of the Premier League.
“He has a cool, cool look. It’s really great that we have a huge star in the making,” Graversen adds.
“He leads the way when it comes to attitude and mentality. Now, the others must ensure that the right passes come to him.”
Newcastle have been watching Hojlund since his days at Sturm Graz, the 20-year-old – like Haaland – making his name in Austria. Another similarity to add to the collection.
