Martin Odegaard’s are expected to fly into London today in order to thrash out a return to Arsenal as his Real Madrid career fades away.
That’s according to The Sunday Mirror (15/08, p68), who claim that agency NSKY are sending representatives to London to try and sort out a move.
It’s claimed that Odegaard wants the move sorted by Friday having seemingly given up on the idea of becoming a star player at Real.
He wasn’t in the Real squad to face Alaves on Saturday, and Odegaard hasn’t even been given a squad number under Carlo Ancelotti.
Odegaard looks set to go, and the terms currently look like a year-long loan with Arsenal paying his wages in full, whilst having ‘first refusal’ on a £30million permanent move next summer.
The Norwegian spent the second half of last season on loan at Arsenal, and was branded ‘incredible’ by Don Hutchison during his time at the Emirates Stadium.

Football.London reported in June that Edu was convinced that he could take Odegaard back to Arsenal, and their hopes appear to be rising.
Arsenal need to find another playmaker, and today seems to be a crucial day as Odegaard’s omission from Real last night appears to be sparking a return to North London.
