Arsenal appear to be closing in on the signing of wonderkid Dino Klapija despite major interest from Manchester United.
Many Arsenal fans would probably love to see a first-team addition during the January window.
Arsenal are in a prime position to win the Premier League title, sitting top of the table heading into Christmas.
A big signing in January could help Arsenal get over the line but the Gunners may still look towards signings for the future.
Danish talent Tristan Panduro is reportedly close to signing and Arsenal could follow that up with another addition…
Arsenal closing in on Dino Klapija
Croatian news outlet Index now claim that Arsenal are pushing to sign NK Kustosija wonderkid Dino Klapija.
It’s stated that 16-year-old Klapija will ‘almost certainly’ leave Kustosija in January with Arsenal the favourites to land Klapija.
Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are both interested too but Arsenal are considered the most likely destination.
Kustosija want around €6million (£5.2million) for Klapija as they chase another sale having seen Mikayil Faye join Barcelona over the summer.
The report notes that Arsenal scouts have watched Klapija on several occasions and loved what they have seen from him.

Manchester United could now miss out on Klapija
The attacking midfielder has been a wanted man for a while now as Manchester United targeted him back in August according to the Daily Mail.
Fabrizio Romano reported at the time that United were in a straight fight with RB Leipzig for Klapija’s signature.
Arsenal are involved now though, and it sounds like the Gunners are now clearly ahead of United in the race.
A former New York City FC and Dinamo Zagreb talent, Klapija is being backed for a big future.
Arsenal would love to get this one wrapped up in January, especially with so many other clubs interested in the American-born prospect.
