Arsenal take on Newcastle United tonight and Mikel Arteta has been hugely impressed with opposite number Eddie Howe and his work.
The Gunners are now seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table having beaten Brighton and Hove Albion 4-2 over the weekend.
Arteta will be looking to secure another big win as Arsenal’s title charge shows no sign of slowing down.
This is a huge test though with Newcastle enjoying a superb season of their own.
Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Leeds United was a disappointment but Newcastle had managed to string together six straight Premier League wins before that.
Newcastle have lost just once in the Premier League this term and have very genuine hope of a Champions League finish.

Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta hails Newcastle boss Eddie Howe
Of course, Newcastle’s increased spending power has been a boost.
The likes of Nick Pope, Kieran Trippier, Sven Botman and Bruno Guimaraes have all arrived over the last year and are playing huge roles for Newcastle.
Yet Newcastle’s rise isn’t down to money alone, with boss Eddie Howe working wonders at St James’ Park.
The likes of Fabian Schar, Joe Willock, Sean Longstaff, Miguel Almiron and Joelinton were either struggling or out of the team under predecessor Steve Bruce.
Yet all of them are now impressing once again with Howe getting the best out of them in this impressive Newcastle side.
Arteta and co will face one of their toughest challenges of the season tonight and the Arsenal boss is well aware of that.
Arteta has told Football London that he thinks Newcastle are a ‘very good team’ and are ultimately well-coached by Howe and hist staff.
The Spaniard added that Howe’s work at Newcastle is ‘incredible’ and hailed the club’s staff for creating ‘big momentum at St James’ Park.
“A very good team. Very well coached,” said Arteta. “I think what Eddie has done in that short period of time, you look at the numbers, it’s incredible. Big credit to him and his coaching staff. Then they have created a belief, a big momentum around the team that they play the same way against any opponent. We are going to play at home in front of our crowd and we’re looking forward to it,” he added.
