Shkodran Mustafi has posted a message to his official Twitter account, highlighting his excitement at heading back to London, after being away on international duty with the German national team.

Despite Arsenal floundering in the summer throughout most of the transfer window, they appeased they fans with a penultimate deadline day spending spree, including the £35 million signing of Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia.

Mustafi, 24, is highly experienced within the game, having achieved 13 caps for his country and making 130 senior club appearances during his career.

Gunners fans will be excited to see their new star in action, lined up alongside Laurent Koscielny, and the German took to Twitter today showing his excitement at heading to Arsenal after being on international duty:
