Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal want to sign Neto, but the Barcelona goalkeeper is reportedly tempted by a move to Rafael Benitez’s Everton.

Arsenal interest in Neto

The Daily Mail reported in September 2021 that Arsenal want to sign Neto from Barcelona in the January transfer window.

The 32-year-old Brazil international goalkeeper would reportedly be a potential replacement for Bernd Leno.

However, Arsenal are now facing competition from Everton for Neto.

Neto tempted by Everton

Sport have reported that Everton are interested in signing Neto, and the goalkeeper himself is ‘very attentive’ to what happens at the Toffees.

Jordan Pickford is the first-choice goalkeeper at Everton at the moment.

But, Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on the England international.

And Everton manager Rafael Benitez himself is willing to cash in on Pickford.

Everton more appealing than Arsenal

In our opinion, Everton would be more appealing than Arsenal for Neto.

Aaron Ramsdale is the number one goalkeeper at Arsenal.

That is not going to change anytime soon.

Now, if Pickford leaves, then Neto could become the number one at Goodison Park.
