Pundit suggests Arsenal are trying to sign a player who is ‘more dynamic than Grealish’

Don Hutchison has hailed Mykhaylo Mudryk as Arsenal attempt to bring the Shakhtar Donetsk winger to London in January.

Hutchison has taken to Twitter to heap prise on Mudryk after watching him in action on a number of occasions this season.

Hutchison noted that Mudryk is ‘ridiculously faster’ than both Jack Grealish and Antony, two players Shakhtar have been using as a baseline price for Mudryk.

The former Liverpool man added that Mudryk is ‘more dynamic’ than the duo as well, believing that whilst he is raw, his potential is enormous.

Fabrizio Romano claims that Arsenal have submitted their first official offer for Mudryk this week.

The bid is worth €40million plus €20million in add-ons, which is around £35million plus £17.5million, taking the deal to up to £52.5million.

Shakhtar have rejected that offer and continue to ask for €100million, believing that Mudryk should be worth just as much as Antony and Grealish.

Based on Hutchison’s comments, Shakhtar may not be so crazy for taking that stance.

Mykhaylo Mudryk to Arsenal: the latest

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal will return with a new bid to sign Mudryk having so far failed to convince Shakhtar into selling.

Mudryk is known to be keen on joining Arsenal and that stance isn’t changing ahead of January.

Shakhtar SEO Sergei Palkin has also spoken about the potential deal today.

Palkin was quoted as saying that he was set to hold more talks with Arsenal today in order to try and thrash out a deal.

Arsenal’s first offer was pretty good, and the Gunners can point to Cody Gakpo’s Liverpool move to help their cause.

Gakpo has joined Liverpool for less than Arsenal’s first offer for Mudryk, and the Netherland star has already excelled at the World Cup.

Shakhtar can point to Mudryk shining in the Champions League but Arsenal will be adamant that they shouldn’t need to pay much more for the Ukrainian winger.
