According to Le10sport, Paris Saint-Germain defender Abdou Diallo could leave the club this summer and Arsenal must consider making a move.

The Gunners will be keen to strengthen their squad this summer.

Mikel Arteta has inherited a bit of a mess following Unai Emery’s post Arsene Wenger spell.

The Spaniard has several exciting young players coming through. However, Arsenal lack top quality players while their defence is major weakness.

David Luiz and Sokratis are both in their thirties. Shkodran Mustafi, meanwhile, is unconvincing at the back while there are question marks over the quality of Rob Holding and Calum Chambers.

Diallo would be a step up on every Arsenal centre-back at Arteta’s disposal.

The 24-year-old joined PSG from Borussia Dortmund for £28 million last summer.

PSG boss Thomas Tuchel knew him well. However, Diallo has made just 22 appearances this term, with Thiago Silva, Marquinhos and Presnel Kimpembe for competition.

Le10sport claim PSG are trying to raise funds. Ander Herrera, Julian Draxler and Idrissa Gueye could all leave, while Diallo is also named as surprise candidate to make way.

The French editorial say unnamed German and English clubs are keen on him.

Arsenal may be one of those monitoring his situation. After all, the Gunners need to strengthen their defence and Diallo ticks a number of boxes.

At 24, former U21 international has his whole career ahead of him. Standing at 6ft 1inch, Diallo could offer Arsenal much-needed strength, speed and height at the back.
