Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta believes midfielder Thomas Partey has now been at his ‘best level’ for three consecutive games.
Arsenal picked up another win on Saturday afternoon, beating Aston Villa 1-0 at Villa Park to move another step closer to Champions League qualification.
Bukayo Saka scored the only goal for the Gunners, beating former Arsenal stopper Emiliano Martinez with a low drive.
There were a number of fine performances in the Arsenal side, especially with goalkeeper Bernd Leno filling in admirably.
In midfield, Thomas Partey was outstanding again as he continues his superb form.
The Ghanaian racked up two successful dribbles, two tackles, one interception, one shot on target and one key pass in a fine all-round display.
Partey has been in great form of late, scoring against Leicester last week whilst creating a couple of goals too.
We’re seeing Partey’s dribbling coming to the fore too, recording 12 successful dribbles in the last five games.
This is the kind of player Arsenal thought they were getting from Atletico Madrid in 2020.
The 28-year-old really seems to be stamping his authority on Premier League games now, thriving in front of the back four and further forward.

Arteta deserves great praise for getting the best out of Partey, and he has praised his £45million man.
Speaking to Football London, Arteta has suggested that Partey has been at his best level in Arsenal’s last three games against Aston Villa, Liverpool and Leicester City.
Arteta feels Partey hasn’t really been in this kind of consistent form since arriving at Arsenal, but is now firing on all cylinders.
“I think in general the team were really good,” said Arteta. “With Thomas we talk about consistency of the level, I think we’re having in the last three games in the last six days, which he hasn’t done in the last few years, I think he played at his best level for three consecutive games and for the team that’s a big boost,” he added.
The next task for Arsenal is to find Partey’s long-term partner in midfield.
Granit Xhaka’s long-term future remains up in the air and we could see Arsenal go big to find Partey’s midfield partner in a move that may leave Premier League teams fearing playing the Gunners.
