Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta has been earning huge praise this season and Lecce’s Morten Hjulmand has now shared his admiration for the Gunners.

The Gunners have enjoyed a dream start to the Premier League season.

A 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend ensured that Arsenal would head into the Wold Cup break top of the table.

Not only that but Arsenal have also opened up a five-point gap over Manchester City and will now have genuine hope of pushing for the title.

Morten Hjulmand praises Arteta and Arsenal

Everything just seems to be flowing for Arsenal right now and boss Arteta is understandably receiving huge praise.

The Spaniard was tipped for the sack two years ago as Arsenal struggled for results in his first full season in charge.

Arteta was under immense pressure after three straight defeats to start last season too.

Arsenal stayed patient, continued to back Arteta both in terms of job security and in the transfer market.

They are now reaping the rewards of that stance with Arteta giving Arsenal belief of a title challenge.

Arteta is earning praise from all corners and his work has now been hailed by a Serie A star.

Lecce midfielder Morten Hjulmand has told Gazzetta Dello Sport that he is ‘crazy’ about the Premier League and specifically Arsenal.

The Danish ace praised Arteta for changing ‘everything’ in two years, believing that Arsenal’s mentality has completely changed thanks to Arteta.

“I’m crazy about the Premier League. I’m a fan of Arsenal. Arteta has changed everything in two years, the mentality, now they play very well,” said Hjulmand.

Hjulmand has been shining in Italy and may end up playing against Arsenal and Arteta very soon.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Brighton and Hove Albion as well as Brentford are interested in signing Hjulmand.

That move would allow the 23-year-old to fulfil his dream of playing in the Premier League – and he would be able to face off against Arteta’s Arsenal in the process.
