Mikel Arteta has hailed Jorginho whilst believing that having him as cover for Thomas Partey is a ‘different level’.
The Gunners boss has been speaking to the Daily Mail after securing a 1-0 win at Leicester City over the weekend.
Gabriel Martinelli scored the only goal of the game to give Arsenal three more points.
The quest for the Premier League title continues and Arteta appears to have been wowed by Jorginho.
The deadline day signing from Chelsea started at Aston Villa and Leicester City due to Thomas Partey’s injury.
Jorginho played well in both games and has now received praise from Arteta.
Arteta believes that having Jorginho as a replacement for Partey is taking Arsenal to a ‘different level’.
“To win at Aston Villa and Leicester is an extremely difficult thing to do but we deserved to win both games,” said Arteta. “Thomas was injured for a few weeks but to have a replacement like Jorginho is a different level,” he added.
Arteta previously had to use Mohamed Elneny or Albert Sambi Lokonga if Partey was out.
No disrespect to either player, but Jorginho is a step up from both of them and Arteta clearly knows it.

Jorginho already winning over many at Arsenal amid Mikel Arteta praise
Arteta has been a big fan of Jorginho for years and didn’t need any convincing at all.
Yet some doubted whether Jorginho was really the right man for Arsenal when he arrived from Chelsea.
Arsenal have been burned by giving big deals to players n their 30’s so you can you can kind of understand that stance.
Jorginho has impressed early on though, allowing Arsenal to control games from midfield.
Sometimes we view taking a team to a ‘different level’ as being a big-name impact player in the starting XI – somebody like Gabriel Jesus.
Yet sometimes it’s about adding quality to the squad and that’s exactly what Jorginho has done.
Jorginho has been so good that Partey may face a battle to reclaim his spot in front of the Arsenal defence.
Arteta is delighted with the depth at his disposal and will have Edu to thank for getting this late deal over the line.
The hope is that Jorginho can help Arsenal in their quest for the Premier League title with his experience no doubt invaluable in the coming months.
