Gabriel Martinelli offers prediction about Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta

Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli is receiving all kind of praise at the moment, but has now moved to hail his boss Mikel Arteta.

Martinelli was outstanding against Liverpool on Wednesday night, causing mayhem down the Arsenal left in a great battle with Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Liverpool ran out 2-0 winners but even the most ardent Reds fans will have surely been impressed with Martinelli.

The Brazilian has taken major steps forward this season and now looks like becoming one of the top attacking threats in the Premier League.

It’s easy to forget that Martinelli is still only 20 and isn’t 21 for another three months; he just looks so good in this Arsenal team right now.

Much of that is down to the coaching of Arteta, who has really helped Martinelli grow and develop especially this season.

Martinelli may have been signed in the Unai Emery era but it’s Arteta who has overseen his progress at Arsenal.

Arteta’s work with young players like Martinelli, Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka, as well as summer signing Martin Odegaard, has really set the tone for his new Arsenal era.

Arteta has even been loosely linked with Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain in recent weeks, a real sign of his rise at Arsenal.

Martinelli has now spoken to AS back in Arteta’s native Spain, hailing the Arsenal boss in an absolute rave review.

Martinelli praised Arteta as an ‘excellent coach’ and a ‘great person’, believing he is bringing so many new things to the Arsenal squad.

The Arsenal ace even predicted that Arteta will have ‘a lot of success’ in his career moving forward, hopefully with Arsenal rather than anybody else.

“He is an excellent coach and also a great person,” said Martinelli. “He always brings us new things, different ways of playing so that we have variations within the game.”

“He is a person who helps me a lot and who is always with the group, creating a very good atmosphere. I think he is a coach who will have a lot of success in his career,” he added.
