Arsenal return to Premier League action this evening as they travel to take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

The Gunners didn’t play over the weekend, meaning Mikel Arteta must hope to build on last week’s win over Chelsea.

A trip to Palace won’t be easy, and they have won two of their last three, including a 3-2 victory over Aston Villa on Sunday.

Arteta’s men have to be wary of many Palace players, but they may avid a meeting with former Gunners talent Eberechi Eze.

Eze spent five years in the Arsenal ranks between 2006 and 2011, moving on to Fulham, Reading and Millwall when the Gunners let him go aged 13.

Now a Premier League star with Palace, Eze is a dangerous playmaker with outstanding dribbling ability and real flair in the final third as Christian Benteke has hailed him as ‘magic’.

Eze would have been a major threat tonight, and he would surely have been desperate to show Arsenal exactly what they’re missing some 10 years since they released him.

However, Palace boss Roy Hodgson has told Football.London that Eze has a slight injury, meaning he could actually miss tonight’s game.

Eze will be given every chance to make himself available for the game, and that desire to prove himself to Arsenal may just see him push to play even if he isn’t 100%.
