Arsenal have already signed Leandro Trossard and Jakub Kiwior this month, and now, they might be about to add the cherry on the cake in the shape of Moises Caicedo.
Indeed, Arsenal have bid £60m for the Ecuadorian, and while that bid was rejected, the interest in the South American persists.
In our view, if Arsenal go out and sign Caicedo, they will have won the transfer window.
Of course, there are other teams who have done well in January.

Chelsea have made some exciting signings in Joao Felix, Benoit Badiashile, and Mykhaylo Mudryk, but it remains to be seen how they will all adapt to the Premier League, and it’s hard to call any of those signings bargains.
Leeds have also made some shrewd additions in Max Wober and Georginio Rutter, and the potential signing of Weston McKennie and Tete would only strengthen their team further. Additionally, considering their relative stature and current league position, these signings could have a significant impact on their quest for survival.
However, while Chelsea and Leeds have done well, if Arsenal are able to sign Caicedo, they will have completed a transfer window that has been near perfect.
The Gunners had three gaping holes in terms of depth heading into this month. On the wing, at left centre-back and in midfield.
Leandro Trossarrd has solved the issue out wide, Jakub Kiwior looks an excellent prospect as an understudy to Gabriel Magalhaes, and now Caicedo could be the ideal midfield addition.
The Ecuadorian international has been a standout player for Brighton this season and would be a huge addition to the Arsenal midfield.
Caicedo is a box-to-box midfielder who can, dictate play, create chances and also defend. He’s young, talented and has a great work ethic, which will help him to adapt quickly to the rigors of Mikel Arteta’s system.
He’s the type of player that Arsenal have been missing for so long.
The signing of Trossard has already brought a new dynamic to the Arsenal attack, and with the addition of Caicedo, the midfield would be amongst the very best in the Premier League too.
If Arsenal can land Caicedo, it will be a huge statement of intent from the club. They will have addressed all their key areas of need, and they’ll have done it with two players that are proven at this level and one, in Kiwior, that has the potential to become top-class in the future.
if Arsenal can land Moises Caicedo, they will have won the transfer window. They’ve already signed Trossard and Kiwior, and if they can land Caicedo, they will have a team that is genuinely more than capable of competing the Champions League next season. The signing of Caicedo would be a huge statement of intent from the club and a sign that they’re serious about returning to the top table of European football.
