Mauro Bandeira has been pictured in training in and amongst the Arsenal senior team ahead of their clash against Leeds United.

The 19-year-old, dubbed as the ‘next [Aaron] Ramsey’ by Football Fan Cast was also pictured in first-team training for the Gunners ahead of their defeat against Sporting CP in the Europa League.

It seems like Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has taken a shine to Mauro Bandeira, as he has been seen in training ahead of the side’s upcoming test against Leeds United.

The Portuguese central midfielder is regarded as one of the most naturally talented players in the club’s youth ranks.

Branded as ‘powerful’ by journalist Layth Yousif for his rasping shots from outside the box, the youngster seems to have a penchant for scoring screamers and driving with the ball through the middle of the park.

Now, pictures have surfaced on Getty Images where Arsenal youngster Mauro Bandeira is passing the ball and battling Charles Sagoe Jr. in training ahead of their side’s battle against Leeds.

Clearly, Bandeira is not afraid to display his talents when it comes to the attacking and defensive sides of the game.

Arteta is thinking long-term

On a number of occasions this season, young players operating under senior level have been called up to training at London Colney.

It seems evident that Mikel Arteta’s plan is to make best use of the staggering number of future superstars in the youth ranks and turn them into in-house solutions for the first-team one day.

Arsenal starlet Mauro Bandeira is just one of the few examples of this phenomenon and if he made an impression in training ahead of his side’s match against Leeds, he could be in the reckoning for some game time in the future.

And perhaps even a starting berth one fine day.
