Arsenal may not be busy in January, but they continue to be linked with new players – including Bologna midfielder Mattias Svanberg.

Arsenal raided Bologna on deadline day in August by securing the signing of defender Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Tomiyasu has been so good at Arsenal that the Gunners may now return to sign another Bologna player.

Il Resto del Carlino report that Arsenal now want to sign Bologna midfielder Svanberg.

The Swedish midfielder is shining in Italy with three goals and one assist in 15 league games this season.

At just 22, Svanberg looks to have a huge future ahead of him and could end up joining Tomiyasu at Arsenal.

On Wednesday night, Svanberg scored the only goal of the game in a 1-0 home win over Jose Mourinho’s Roma.

The goal was a work of art; Svanberg side-footed the ball on the bounce from outside the box, burying his finish into the corner of the net.

This moment showed what Arsenal could get in Svanberg, and these fans on Twitter absolutely loved what they saw from the former Malmo man.
