Arsenal are bringing in Chelsea ace Jorginho today but fellow midfielder Matt Smith could end up leaving the Gunners.
That’s according to The Sun, who claim that German side Augsburg are trying to sign Smith permanently today.
Queens Park Rangers also fancy signing Smith, who could be available on loan if a permanent deal can’t be done with Arsenal happy to let him go.
The Swansea Independent add that Swansea are also in the mix for Smith ahead of the transfer deadline tonight.
That report claims that Arsenal will accept a deal worth around £400,000 for Smith as they turn over their midfield ranks.
Jorginho is set to join Arsenal in a deal worth around £12million, bolstering Arsenal’s ranks for the next 18 months.
Jorginho’s imminent arrival means fringe midfielders may be able to go and Smith is one of them.

The time has come for Matt Smith to leave Arsenal
Smith hails from Harlow in Essex and first joined Arsenal at the age of just seven.
Smith has risen through the Arsenal ranks and has been a regular in the Under-18’s and Under-21’s over the years.
The midfielder has never made a first-team appearance for Arsenal though and it may now be time to move on.
Smith is 22 and if he hasn’t made his first-team debut by now, maybe it just isn’t going to happen.
Loans to Swindon Town, Charlton Athletic and Doncaster Rovers haven’t provided Smith with a debut.
Mikel Arteta has named him on the bench at times this season but first-team minutes just haven’t arrived.
A move to play regularly in the Championship with QPR or Swansea, or maybe even in Germany with Augsburg, could make perfect sense.
Arsenal won’t stand in his way and with Smith available on deadline day, he could leave just as Jorginho comes in.
