Arsenal star Martin Odegaard dazzled against Tottenham Hotspur today and has earned praise from Gunners fan Yannick Bolasie.

The Gunners headed to the other side of North London on Sunday afternoon knowing that this was a bigger derby than usual.

Manchester City’s defeat at Manchester United meant Arsenal could go eight points clear with a win at Tottenham.

Mikel Arteta’s men duly obliged and were simply irresistible in the first half, playing some outstanding football to dismantle Spurs.

A Hugo Lloris own goal put Arsenal ahead before Martin Odegaard rattled home a beautiful second.

Tottenham at least put Arsenal under some pressure in the second half but it amounted to nothing as Arsenal ran out 2-0 winners.

Martin Odegaard leaves Arsenal fan Yannick Bolasie stunned

Arsenal fans everywhere will be buzzing at claiming yet another North London derby win, their third in the last four in the Premier League.

There were a number of outstanding performances in the Arsenal side but nobody shined brighter than Odegaard.

The Premier League Player of the Month for November and December was simply sensational once again.

Odegaard was at the heart of everything good for Arsenal, always creating, probing and using his quick feet to leave Tottenham players in his wake.

The goal was the icing on the cake for Odegaard, whose outstanding display will be deservingly remembered for a superb strike.

The £35million Arsenal paid to sign Odegaard from Real Madrid in 2021 is now looking like a bargain – especially when Mykhailo Mudryk is going for more than double that price.

Caykur Rizespor winger Yannick Bolasie – a boyhood Arsenal fan – took to Twitter to hail Odegaard and state what many Gunners supporters were thinking.

Bolasie stated that Odegaard is simply a ‘magician’ and was blown away by Arsenal’s first-half performance as they blew Tottenham away.

Bolasie is absolutely right; Odegaard is a magician on the ball and Arsenal stand a great chance of winning the title as long as he is bringing that magic regularly.
