Arsenal want Marco Asensio and he appeared to win some Real Madrid fans over with his performance against RB Leipzig.
Real Madrid were in Champions League action on Wednesday night and were made to sweat for a 2-0 win over the Bundesliga side.
Federico Valverde struck the opening goal, firing a left-footed strike into the corner of the net.
Asensio then fired in number two in injury time, guiding a left-footed strike into the net from a Toni Kroos free kick.
Two wins from two with no goals conceded is a perfect start for Real, and Asensio will be delighted to have grabbed a goal.

Arsenal want Marco Asensio
In truth, it’s been a testing few days for Asensio.
The Real ace was furious at not being given a chance to play against his former club Real Mallorca with boss Carlo Ancelotti admitting that he understood the anger.
With just eight minutes of league action under his belt this season you can hardly blame Asensio for being unhappy.
The 26-year-old was brought on for just 26 minutes against Leipzig but took his chance brilliantly with a superb goal.
Marca report that Asensio was ‘greeted with whistles’ when he was substituted onto the pitch against Leipzig.
However, they add that Real fans ended up giving Asensio a standing ovation after his goal with fans seemingly won over by the Spaniard.
Asensio is out of contract in 2023 though and it looks like he will be leaving very soon.
Arsenal are one potential destination for Asensio given that The Mirror reported in August that the Gunners were ‘in the box seat’ for his signature.
Agent Jorge Mendes is now trying to find a new club for Asensio in the hope of securing a big 2023 move.
This goal summed up the quality Asensio possesses and Edu was surely impressed with the strike.
Real Madrid fans may have been won over on Wednesday but it still feels unlikely that Asensio will end up staying put – and Arsenal may well position themselves for a move.
