Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United are pushing hard to sign Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus in the January transfer window, according to CM.

The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain could also join the race for the 22-year-old Serbia international striker – who is “lightning” and whose “left foot is like a wand”, according to former Manchester City and Fiorentina defender Micah Richards on BBC Radio 5 Live in December 2021.

Juventus will want crazy money for Vlahovic and will look for at least €80 million (£70million) before opening talks, according to the report.

That is an awful lot of money to spend on a single player in the middle of the season, but both the Gunners and the Red Devils need a striker.

Arsenal need a striker to replace the injured Gabriel Jesus in the short term, while United have to find a long-term replacement for the departed Cristiano Ronaldo.

Vlahovic has scored six goals and given one assist in 10 Serie A matches for Juventus so far this season.

The left-footed striker has scored one goal and given one assist in five UEFA Champions League matches for the Bianconeri this campaign.
