Arsenal are eyeing Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic – but Jose Mourinho now appears to be keen on swooping in and taking him to Roma.
Arsenal interest in Jovic
Rumours of Arsenal wanting to sign Jovic have been circulating all season.
Eurosport claimed in September that Arsenal are keen on Jovic, with Defensa Central backing that up in October.
Arsenal certainly need another striker. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s days could be numbered and both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are out of contact next summer.
Jovic could help Mikel Arteta’s side, but Arsenal will now seemingly face a real battle for his signature with Mourinho lurking.
Mourinho wants Jovic at Roma
Real Madrid-based website Defensa Central now claim that Jose Mourinho has specifically requested the signing of Jovic.
Mourinho wants to take Jovic on loan in January, seemingly feeling that Tammy Abraham needs some help in attack.

Real Madrid aren’t keen to let Jovic go, believing he is needed as Karim Benzema’s backup.
Real paid a huge €60million (£51million) for Jovic in 2019 after shining at Eintracht Frankfurt.
Jovic, once branded ‘magical’ by Lionel Messi, has still only ever played 29 league games for Real, but a January exit sounds difficult.
If Arsenal want to sign Jovic, they will not only need to convince Real, but also fight with Mourinho.
