Fabrizio Romano has said on Don Robbie YouTube channel that Arsenal could walk away from a potential transfer for Manuel Locatelli in the coming days and weeks.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has said that Arsenal are not going to wait forever for the Sassuolo midfielder.
Both Arsenal and Juventus want to sign the 23-year-old Italy international, but the Euro 2020 winner prefers a move to the Turin club.
The Athletic reported last week that Arsenal are prepared to push the boat out for the youngster, but the Gunners know that it is not going to be easy to get him.
Romano said on Don Robbie YouTube channel: “I think Arsenal are not waiting forever for Locatelli. They will wait for maybe some days, some weeks and then they will move to the next target.”

Yes, negotiations over transfer deals take time, but the Gunners cannot wait forever to see what happens between Juventus, Sassuolo and Locatelli.

Of course, Locatelli is very highly rated, and based on his performances for Italy at Euro 2020, it is safe to say that he would make Arsenal better in the middle of the park.
The Sassuolo no.73 scored four goals and gave two assists in 34 Serie A matches last season.
The 23-year-old scored two goals in five Euro 2020 games for Italy this summer.
However, if the midfielder prefers Juventus to Arsenal, then the Gunners have to have a contingency plan.
