Rhian Brewster has reached a crossroads in his fledgling career and it is unclear at this moment precisely what path the youngster will take next.
After turning 18 in April, Liverpool have offered Brewster his first professional contract, but the Sun claims that Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in the striker.
The England Under-18 international wants assurances of game time with the first-team before signing a new deal at Anfield, so when looking at opportunities given to young players and academy products at the three interested clubs, which would be his best choice?
Arsenal
It is the start of a new era at the Emirates Stadium with Unai Emery having succeeded Arsene Wenger as manager, but Brewster would face an immediate obstacle with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette already options for Emery upfront.
Hector Bellerin, Alex Iwobi and Jack Wilshere are the standout stars when it comes to promotion from the academy with 126 appearances between them in 2017/18; although Wilshere has since announced his departure from the Gunners due to not being assured enough game time going forwards.
Ainsley Maitland-Niles also enjoyed a breakthrough season with 28 appearances, while Reiss Nelson, Eddie Nketiah, Joe Willock and January signing Konstantinos Mavropanos were all given some Premier League minutes.
Liverpool
Boss Jurgen Klopp has a reputation of trusting in youth and that was best shown last term in Trent Alexander-Arnold, with the youth product playing 33 matches in all competitions – including the Champions League final.
Joe Gomez managed 31 appearances, while 20-year-old Dominic Solanke played 29 times. It was less pleasing for Ben Woodburn who only got on the pitch twice for the first team and once again competition is fierce for a place in attack.
Beyond that youngsters generally had to go out on loan, with Ovie Ejaria, Ryan Kent and Harry Wilson all dropping into the Championship on temporary deals.
Spurs
Mauricio Pochettino has a similar reputation to Klopp when it comes to giving young players a chance and academy ace Harry Kane is obviously the poster boy for this.
Harry Winks was also a regular before injury halted his development and Kyle Walker-Peters managed nine appearances. Summer signing Juan Foyth was also used eight times.
Kazaiah Sterling got on the pitch for two minutes in the Champions League, but in actuality the most regular game time given to players who are currently 20 or younger was at Anfield under Klopp.
