Arsenal and Liverpool both had an interest in signing Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch but he won’t be leaving the Bundesliga giants.
That’s according to 90Min, who claim that the two Premier League giants ‘hold an interest’ in signing Gravenberch.
Other clubs have also shown a real interest in snapping up the Dutch international in the coming days.
A loan move has been touted for Gravenberch but Bayern are determined to keep hold of him beyond the January deadline.
It’s stated that Gravenberch himself actually wants to fight for his place at Bayern Munich and isn’t looking to leave in the coming days.
That may be a tough task but Gravenberch only joined Bayern over the summer and seemingly doesn’t want to leave Bavaria just yet.

Arsenal continue midfield pursuit with Ryan Gravenberch interest
Gravenberch, 20, emerged through the famed Ajax ranks and became a first-team star in Amsterdam.
Gravenberch racked up 103 appearances for Ajax, bagging 12 goals and 13 assists.
A real athletic presence at 6ft 3in tall, Gravenberch showed the mobility to get around the midfield brilliantly whilst possessing a dangerous strike from long range.
Hailed as ‘very dominant’ by his former Ajax youth coach Brian Tevreden, Gravenberch has the potential to become whatever type of midfielder he wants.
Arsenal are in the market for a midfielder right now with Mohamed Elneny potentially set to miss the rest of the season.
That means Arsenal surely want a holding midfielder to offer cover and competition for Thomas Partey in front of the back four.
Gravenberch could play that role, but it would feel like holding him back a little given his ability to go from box to box.
This feels like Arsenal’s interest in Eduardo Camavinga; maybe not exactly what they need but a talent so great that they had to ask the question.
Gravenberch isn’t interested right now but maybe Arsenal should continue to keep tabs on this situation in the hope of a deal down the line.
