Toulouse striker Amine Adli has rejected moves to Wolfsburg and Troyes as the rumoured Arsenal and Leicester City target holds out for a transfer to Bayern Munich, per Le10 Sport.

Adli is inspired by the prospect of playing for the Bundesliga giants, amid tepid interest from Julian Nagelsmann’s side. The Allianz Arena natives admire what the Frenchman has shown for Toulouse since moving up to their first-team, but are yet to make any move.

Wolfsburg and Troyes have made Toulouse formal offers for Adli this summer after he produced a stellar campaign last term. The 21-year-old scored eight times and offered eight assists as Les Pitchouns reached the play-off final in hopes of securing Ligue 1 status.

Wolfsburg offered Toulouse €12m (£10m) with €2m (£1.5m) in add-ons, while Troyes bid €10m (£8.5m), also with €2m in bonuses. But Adli rejected both proposals as he waits for Bayern Munich to make an approach, after Marseille chose against renewing their interest.

Arsenal and Leicester also expressed interest in Adli this summer, with TuttoMercatoWEB citing them among a host of admirers. Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund were also in the mix, but trailed AC Milan. Yet Calciomercato.it note he also rejected the Rossoneri.

Le10 Sport offer no guarantees Bayern Munich will pursue Adli, who is in the final year of his Toulouse contract. He now faces an uncertain future in France, with Les Pitchouns President Damien Comolli confirming he will not play until the market closes if he stays.

“As of today, Amine Adli is no longer available to the coach,” Comolli told La Depeche. “This is until September 1, at least. He will train, but will no longer play the matches.”

Can Arsenal and Leicester overcome Bayern Munich interest in Adli?

Comolli also confirmed that Toulouse accepted a €12m offer for Adli, likely from Wolfsburg. His comments set the market for Arsenal, Leicester or Bayern Munich to pay for a rising star of French football.

Adli is also a versatile forward, capable of playing across the frontline or in-behind a striker. He has even featured in more central midfield roles in the past, but has shown the most promise at centre-forward.

Arsenal and Leicester will have to convince Adli of a Premier League move to overcome Bayern Munich, though. Playing for the German powerhouse appeals to the former U18 international, even if they may not move this summer.
