Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are leading the race for Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans, according to The Sun.
The report in the British tabloid has claimed that Arsenal are ‘leading’ Manchester United in the race for the Belgium international.
The Sun have quoted the 24-year-old midfielder as saying that he wants to play in the Champions League.
The report has noted that Arteta’s Arsenal are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment and are in pole position to clinch the final Champions League spot.
Youri Tielemans would make Arsenal better
In our opinion, Tielemans would be a good signing for Arsenal in the summer transfer window and would make Arteta’s side better.
The midfielder is not having the best of times at the moment, but we have seen from years gone by how good the Belgian is.
Former Tottenham Hotspur defender Michael Dawson described the midfielder as “an incredible talent” on Sky Sports News (12:59pm, October 23, 2021).
Arsenal will need reinforcements in the summer of 2022, especially if the North London club end up in the Champions League.
Tielemans has scored 18 goals in 110 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
