Tottenham Hotspur welcome Arsenal to White Hart Lane tomorrow.

Gunners legend Nigel Winterburn spoke to Sky Sports News HQ on Friday April 28th, and delivered his verdict on the strength of the squad assembled by Mauricio Pochettino at Spurs.

This season has witnessed a shift in power in North London, with Tottenham currently sitting four places and 14 points ahead of Arsenal in the Premier League table, although Arsene Wenger’s men do have a game in hand over their rivals.

A win for the Lilywhites tomorrow would guarantee that they finish above the Gunners in the table for the first time since the 1994/95 season.

And Winterburn told Sky Sports News HQ how the current crop of Spurs stars have to be considered as one of their best ever teams:

“In all round ability it [the Tottenham squad] is very strong. It has to be up there with one of their best-ever teams. You look at their back five, they use their full-backs going forward. You’ve got Harry Kane getting goals. Christian Eriksen getting goals and assists and the young player of the year in Dele Alli. Ever since he joined he’s been incredible.”

Pochettino’s side are currently four points adrift of Chelsea, and with the Blues playing first away at Everton, they could find themselves seven points adrift of Antonio Conte’s men by the time they kick-off against Wenger’s troops.

Spurs head into the game as overwhelming favourites, but Arsenal will be desperate to ruin Tottenham’s chances of Premier League glory in their arch rival’s back yard.

The game has all the ingredients of an absolute classic, and the neutrals will be hoping for a high-scoring, free-flowing game of football that a match of this significance undoubtedly deserves.
