Ian Wright has shared how he would ‘love’ for Harry Kane to win a trophy at Tottenham Hotspur, so he can be rewarded for the loyalty he has shown to the football club.

The Arsenal legend added that he thinks Antonio Conte can win a trophy in the colours of Tottenham this season and he feels the Italian will ‘push’ the team after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

As things stand, Spurs are fighting for every trophy possible, but the one fans crave the most is the Premier League title and being champions of England.

At this moment in time, it’s their north London rivals, Arsenal, who are sitting at the top of that tree, although, the rewards aren’t handed out in October.

Just like their neighbours, their biggest of tests will come about during the final few months of the season when the prizes are being handed out.

And Wright admitted that he would want Kane to feel and reach that success with Spurs, because it has been a long time coming, as he told Premier League Productions (17/10/22 at 2:40 pm).

“He’s the type of player, Harry Kane, I would love for his loyalty to the club, and we saw what he wanted to do with Manchester City and how he wanted to leave, but his loyalty to the club,” said Wright.

“I would love for him to have a real blast and get something because he has been an unbelievable pro.

“I think under Conte they will win a trophy. This season, because it’s so different with the World Cup, and them being in and around it, then Conte is going to push that team.”

FA CUP AND LEAGUE CUP ARE REALISTIC

That’s the one Spurs have to aim for and make sure they reach the final in at least one of those competitions this season.

Yes, fans want the Premier League title, but a certain Manchester City have won four out of the last five, slapped teams up and down the country and now added Erling Haaland to their ranks.

That task has just become much tougher, so if Spurs were to end the season with an FA Cup, plus a Champions League finish, then it would be a massive thumbs up.
