Arsenal want to sign Raphinha and hope their deal for Fabio Vieira actually helps them land the Leeds United star this summer.
The Gunners confirmed their second signing of the summer on Tuesday, announcing the arrival of playmaker Vieira from Porto.
Whilst Vieira only started 15 league games for Porto last season, the creative midfielder should be a quality addition for Arsenal moving forward.
Arsenal want to follow up that Vieira deal with more exciting signings like Manchester City attacker Gabriel Jesus or his Brazil teammate Raphinha.

Arsenal are focusing their attentions on Leeds United star Raphinha in the hope of pulling off a huge £60million deal.
Reports claim that Arsenal technical director Edu has met with Raphinha’s agent Deco to try and thrash out an agreement.
The problem is that Raphinha wants to join Barcelona and isn’t all that fussed about any other offers right now.
One intriguing factor has now emerged from The Telegraph as they claim that Vieira’s move could help Arsenal land Raphinha.
Vieira is represented by Jorge Mendes and the Gestifute agency, one of the biggest agencies in world football.
It’s stated that Gestifute liked how smooth the negotiations with Arsenal were during the Vieira deal.
Raphinha’s main agent Deco works very closely with Mendes and Gestifute, and the ease of the Vieira move could now give Arsenal a real boost in the race for Raphinha.
Deco has previously highlighted his love for Mendes and the impact he has had on his career from player to agent.
If Mendes liked Arsenal’s conduct during the Vieira deal, that may just feed through to Deco and his decision-making over Raphinha.
That’s something that may give Arsenal some hope over signing Raphinha, with Edu’s smooth deal-making for Vieira potentially helping the Gunners add another quality star.
