Barcelona have made their move to sign Noussair Mazraoui ahead of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal and Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United, according to Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.
Journalist Romano has claimed that Barcelona have offered Mazraoui €5 million per year (£4.18m) as salary in order to sign him on a free transfer in the summer of 2022.
The 24-year-old right-back is out of contract at Ajax at the end of the season.
Romano has reported that German giants Bayern Munich are also keen on securing the services of the Morocco international.
ESPN reported in November 2021 that Arsenal and Leeds are keen on signing Mazraoui on a free transfer in the summer of 2022.

In our view, approaches from Barcelona and Bayern are a blow to Leeds and Arsenal’s chances of signing Mazraoui in the summer transfer window.
Leeds could end up in the Championship at the end of the season, while Arsenal may not finish in the Premier League top four.
Barcelona are one of the biggest clubs in the world and are rebuilding under the legendary Xavi.
As for Bayern, they are the biggest club in Germany who regularly win the Bundesliga and challenge for the Champions League.
