Arsenal and Leeds United are both chasing Jimmy-Jay Morgan as the Southampton talent prepares to leave the South Coast imminently.

That’s according to Sky Sports, who claim that Morgan wants to leave Southampton in the near future.

It’s stated that Morgan has rejected Southampton’s offer of a first professional contract as he seeks to move away.

The report claims that Arsenal, Leeds and Manchester City are all interested in signing Morgan after he told Southampton he wants to go.

Hampshire Live add that the Saints are unlikely to let Morgan leave the club any time soon.

Morgan still has 18 months left on his scholarship deal at Southampton and the Saints seemingly want to see him stay until then.

Who is Arsenal and Leeds target Jimmy-Jay Morgan?

Morgan turned 17 just a few days ago and has been coming through the ranks of the famed Southampton academy.

The likes of Luke Shaw, Calum Chambers, Gareth Bale, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Adam Lallana and Theo Walcott all excelled after emerging at Southampton.

Morgan is looking to do the same and he is going about it the right way.

The teenager has racked up four goals and five assists in just eight Premier League 2 games this season, shining against players a couple of years older than him.

Add in a couple of FA Youth Cup goals this season and Morgan has been in great form.

Capable of playing out wide or up front, Morgan has become one of Southampton’s big hopes for the future and interest is no surprise.

Saints boss Nathan Jones has called Morgan and teammate Dom Ballard ‘wonderful’ having called them in to be around first-team training on the South Coast.

Morgan would seemingly be a real coup for Arsenal or Leeds, but prising him away from the Saints won’t be easy.
