Calciomercato have reported that Arsenal are in pole position to sign Hojlund from Atalanta in the summer transfer window.

Juventus are also reported to be keen on the 20-year-old and want him as a potential replacement for Dusan Vlahovic.

Atalanta want at least €45 million (£39.47 million) in transfer fees for the Denmark international forward.

Last week, Tutto Atalanta reported that both Arsenal and Newcastle are interested in signing Hojlund from Atalanta in the summer transfer window.

Encouraging

In our view, it is very encouraging for Arsenal that they are in pole position for Rasmus Hojlund.

It suggests that the Gunners could be able to sign the forward in the summer transfer window.

That Juventus and Newcastle United are also keen on the forward shows just how good he is.

The Denmark international has scored seven goals and given one assist in 1281 minutes of Serie A action for Atalanta so far this season.

Atalanta head coach Gian Piero Gasperini described Hojlund as a striker who is “just remarkable” and is “so quick” in TMW last month.
