Arsenal want Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and the Lazio midfielder’s agent is trying to engineer a lower asking price this summer.
That’s according to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, as they claim that Milinkovic-Savic doesn’t want to leave Lazio for free in 2024.
That opens the door for a summer move but the transfer fee is up for discussion.
It’s stated that Lazio owner Claudio Lotito wants around €50million (£44million) for Milinkovic-Savic.
However, Milinkovic-Savic’s agent – former Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman – is pushing for that fee to be lowered to around €35million to €40million (£31million to £35million).
The report adds that Arsenal and Juventus are ‘at the window’ and ready to move for Milinkovic-Savic this summer.
Both clubs would certainly prefer that lower price and will hope to take advantage of the midfielder’s contract situation.

Milinkovic-Savic just isn’t going away in terms of Arsenal transfer rumours ahead of the summer window.
Calciomercato reported late in February that Kezman had received a £35million offer from Arsenal for MIlinkovic-Savic.
Tuttomercatoweb added last week that Arsenal could ramp up their move for the Serbian very quickly to try and win the race.
The 28-year-old has bagged four goals and eight assists in 24 Serie A games this season.
Milinkovic-Savic is an athletically-imposing midfielder and fits the mould as a real box-to-box player, almost certainly an upgrade on Granit Xhaka.
Arsenal could give Milinkovic-Savic the big move he is looking for and ultimately bigger wages.
The midfielder has been a top star in Italy for years now but allegedly earns just €3.2million-a-year – around £54,000-a-week.
Arsenal would surely at least double those wages to bring Milinkovic-Savic to North London and secure a big summer coup.
