All the latest news and gossip from the past 24 hours at The Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal are said to be closing in on the signature of QPR striker Loic Remy. The French international was on loan at Newcastle United last season, where he impressed.

However, the French international is keen to play Champions League football next campaign, which neither QPR or Newcastle can offer him.

Remy was spotted at The Emirates Stadium on Arsenal’s final game of the season and with Wenger making it clear that fellow striker Mario Balotelli is not an option it appears the road is clear for Arsenal to snap up Remy – with a reported fee of £10 million mooted.

It is however believed that Wenger will not stop at Remy when it comes to the striker department.

Arsenal are reportedly after another striker to complement Olivier Giroud this summer – with Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata and Bayern Munich star Mario Mandzukic also on the shortlist.

Arsenal have officially confirmed that 11 players are leaving the club on free transfers this summer.

Bacary Sagna, Nicklas Bendtner, Park Ju Young, Lukasz Fabianski, Chuks Aneke, Zach Fagan, Daniel Boateng, Leander Siemann, Zak Ansah are all leaving while Emiliano Viviano and Kim Kallstrom will not be offered permanent deals after their respective loan deals.

Bacary Sagna has spoke about the reasons why he left the club this summer. He is joining Manchester City on a Bosman transfer, and denied he moved because of the money:

“I’m going to clear everything up because I keep reading that I did it for money and I’m greedy. What I want to say is I stayed with Arsenal with the same contract since 2008 and I never asked for more money. For people who think it’s for money, it’s not. I just wanted to change. I needed a boost in my career and I think it was about time.”

If Arsenal were hoping to sign Seamus Coleman from Everton this summer they have been dealt a blow. The Irishman is believed to be on the verge of signing a new deal to keep him at Goodison Park after an incredible campaign at the club.
