The long awaited arrival of Santi Cazorla has finally been confirmed at the Emirates Stadium after he completed his move from Malaga for £16.5million. The Spanish international expressed his delight at finally completing the move and was looking forward to getting started with life in England and the Premier League. He went on to tell ITV how he is at Arsenal to help them win titles and end their long drought of silverware. Arsenal fans will hope he lives up to his promise.

Andrei Arshavin transfer opportunities seem to come up every day and continuing their recent trend for being linked with English based players such as Nicklas Bendtner and Dimitar Berbatov, Turkish side Galatasary have now been linked with the Russian playmaker. Arshavin is reportedly keen on a stay in England but could reconsider now the signing of Santi Cazorla sees him lower down the pecking order at the Emirates, and a move to Turkey could be a suitable get out for the mercurial Russian, report The Daily Mail.

Anderlecht striker Matias Suarez’s £11million move to CSKA Moscow has reportedly collapsed due to a failed medical which has alerted the interest of Liverpool and Arsenal according to talkSPORT. Last Seasons Belgian Player of the Year is a cultured player who would suit both teams footballing philosophies but the mysterious failure of his medical may scupper any deal.

The Guardian have reported on Arsene Wenger’s apparent fury at persistent rumours over the future of Cameroonian midfield maestro Alex Song, as continual whispers about an imminent bid from Barcelona fail to die away. It is believed that Song has been keen to explore his options with the lure of the Nou Camp proving strong. Wenger however feels last year’s most improved player should not be listening to potential transfer news, rather focusing on his future at Arsenal where he has a contract until 2015.

Meanwhile Goal.com has covered the news that major shareholder Alisher Usmanov has launched another damning attack on the running of the club. A major investor at the club and a fan of the Gunners the Uzbekistani is reportedly unhappy at the recent ineffective success on the pitch wishing to see trophies at the club rather than simply Champions League qualification as the paramount for a successful season at The Emirates. He has no plans to remove his funding from the club but believes a change in policy from the board members is necessary to keep up with the modern world of football.
