FA Cup draw
Arsenal have been drawn against Brighton & Hove Albion away from home in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
The Gunners secured their place with a 2-0 win against Hull City at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, while Brighton got the better of Brentford by the same margin away from home.
Lukas Podolski exit
One Arsenal player who will not be involved in that FA Cup tie is Lukas Podolski, who has officially joined Inter Milan on loan for the rest of the season.
The Germany international struggled for playing time at the Gunners this season and is delighted to have made the switch to the Serie A outfit.
Arsene Wenger on attackers
Arsenal are unlikely to miss Podolski, as manager Arsene Wenger has said that he has many options in attack.
“We have many options when you think of the players who still have not played tonight,” Wenger told the club’s official website following the win against Hull. “We have many solutions up front.
“You cannot expect much [from Theo Walcott yet] but fitness-wise he was good. He had good chances, made some good runs.
“He has to get used to contact again and that will take a little bit of time. Overall it was a positive first game.”
Hector Bellerin on defence
Meanwhile, Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin was pleased with the way the side defended against Hull.
“We were very solid at the back so we weren’t scared at any moment,” the youngster told the club’s official website.
“The team defended really well and then we were confident when we went forward and created our chances. We got two goals and it was a really good performance by the team.
“It’s good because we had two young players at the back as well. It’s good that we can show as well that we can defend and that the team can still be really secure with us there.
“We need to defend from the front and everyone was trying to get the ball as soon as possible, and I think the team did that really well.”
