Arsenal talent Khayon Edwards is turning heads this season, and he has just added a superb assist to his highlight reel for the season.
With Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe giving hope to all Hale End talents, why can’t Edwards play in the Arsenal first-team too?
Edwards is showing the kind of potential that leads a player to be fast-tracked into senior football – just like Saka.
Last week, the 18-year-old striker smashed a hat-trick against Norwich City earlier this month. That took his tally to seven goals and two assists in just six Under-18 Premier League games.
On Tuesday night, Edwards was given a chance in the Under-23’s. Coming on as a substitute, Edwards produced a superb assist to win the game.
With just seconds left on the clock, Edwards collected the ball with his back to goal.
Edwards showed outstanding strength to hold off the challenge, run his defender down to the byline before producing the end product.

Edwards pulled the ball back for Charles Sagoe Jr to score from close range, sealing a 4-3 win.
This is why Arsenal are excited about Edwards. He is deadly in front of goal but clearly has hold-up and link-up play in his game too.
Arsenal may just have another homegrown star on their hands.
