Arsenal have been offered the chance to sign Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo, but manager Mikel Arteta would have to part company with Thomas Partey to make that transfer deal happen.
That’s according to a report in The Mirror.
The report has claimed that Arsenal want to sign Arthur from Juventus on loan in the January transfer window.
Juventus do not want to part company with the Brazilian midfielder until and unless they get a replacement.
The Italian giants have said that they want Arsenal midfielder Partey in exchange for Arthur, according to the report.
Thomas Partey for Arthur Melo not happening
Now, that is ridiculous and ain’t happening.
It simply is not going to happen in a million years.
The whole point of Arsenal trying to sign a midfielder is to make the team stronger.
So why would Arsenal let Partey go?
That is simply a ridiculous proposal from Juventus.

Partey and Mohamed Elneny are away on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Granit Xhaka is suspended at the moment, and given his track record in getting red cards, it is likely that the midfielder will miss more games again this season.
In our opinion, Arsenal should not accept any exchange deal with Juventus for Partey.
If the Gunners are unable to sign Arthur in the January transfer window, then Arteta should simply use the young midfielders in the youth team.
Like Charlie Patino, for example.
