Arsenal missed out on a big January deal for Dusan Vlahovic, but not everybody has been impressed with his start to life at Juventus.
The Gunners were understandably desperate to secure a new striker during the January transfer window.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang left the club and both Alexander Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are out of contract this summer.
Vlahovic appeared to be the top target. Edu thought a part-exchange deal involving current Fiorentina loanee Lucas Torreira would tempt La Viola into a deal.
Instead, Vlahovic made a controversial £63million move to rivals Juventus, sparking anger from Fiorentina fans.
Four goals in his first eight games for Juventus isn’t bad for Vlahovic, especially as he took mere seconds to score against Villarreal in the Champions League.
Yet the Serbian sensation isn’t impressing everybody since making the move to Turin.
Former Italy International Antonio Cassano is outspoken at the best of times and he hasn’t held back when talking about Vlahovic.
As quoted by Calciomercato, Cassano suggested that Vlahovic looked hungry when he first arrive at Juventus.
Now though, Cassano claims Vlahovic ‘doesn’t do anything’ and can’t even manage a shot on goal.
“He arrived with an impressive desire, but now he doesn’t do anything, he doesn’t even make a shot on goal,” said Casseano.

Sure enough, in Juventus’s 1-0 win over Spezia on Sunday, Vlahovic didn’t take a single shot in 85 minutes on the pitch.
That’s just one game, but Cassano’s stinging criticism is something to keep an eye on moving forward.
Mikel Arteta certainly wouldn’t stand for his main striker doing nothing; even when Alexandre Lacazette isn’t scoring he’s still offering plenty to the team.
Arsenal will hope to find their star striker this summer having missed out on Vlahovic, but may feel the 22-year-old maybe wasn’t the greatest fit for them after all.
Arteta’s demands are huge, expecting full commitment from all; that’s why Aubameyang was allowed to leave.
Vlahovic has only gone two games without a goal, but it’s clear that Cassano is expecting to see much, much more from him moving forward.
