Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will face a tough competition to sign Arthur Melo from Juventus, according to a report in Gianluca Di Marzio.
TMW reported on December 27 that Arthur has been offered to Arsenal.
The report claimed that Sevilla have also been offered the chance to sign the former Barcelona midfielder, and that there has been contact with AS Roma as well.
Well-known and well-respected Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has now reported on his website that Arthur Melo has ‘several offers’ and is being ‘courted by several clubs in Europe’.
Could Arthur Melo join Arsenal?
In our view, it is not going to be easy for Arsenal to sign Arthur from Juventus in the January transfer window.
With the 25-year-old midfielder reportedly being inundated with offers, he will surely pick the club where he is going to play the most and will get a good salary.
Arsenal do have a strong midfield.

Thomas Partey, Granit Xhaka and Albert Sambi Lokonga are doing well at the moment.
So, in our opinion, Arthur will not get much playing time at Arsenal, and that could put him off a potential move to the Emirates Stadium.
So far this season, Arthur Melo has made three starts and three substitute appearances in Serie A and one start and three substitute appearances in the Champions League for Juventus.
