Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are only £5 million away from signing Youri Tielemans from Leicester City, and the midfielder himself wants to move to the Emirates Stadium, according to CBSSports.

CBSSports have reported that Arsenal want to sign Tielemans from Premier League rivals Leicester in the summer transfer window.

The Gunners need to pay £5 million more than what they are willing to offer to the Belgium international midfielder.

The 25-year-old midfielder – described as “an incredible talent” by former Tottenham Hotspur defender Michael Dawson on Sky Sports News (12:59pm, October 23, 2021), – wants to move to Arsenal, but the Gunners have not make a bid for him yet, according to CBSSports.

Should Arsenal pay £5m more for Leicester’s Tielemans?

In our view, if Arsenal are keen on signing Youri Tielemans from Leicester City in the summer transfer window, then they should pay £5 million more than they are willing to.

If the Gunners think that the Belgian is going to make them better, then they should just pay the extra £5 million and get a deal done now.

Pre-season training has started, and it is important that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta gets squad ready for the new campaign.

Moreover, Tielemans reportedly wants to move to Arsenal, so it is unlikely that agreeing personal terms with the Belgium international midfielder will be a problem for the North London club.
