Arsenal are interested in Julian Brandt and are believed to be more keen than ever as they fight Tottenham for the playmaker.

That’s according to Bild reporter Christian Falk, who has been speaking to Caught Offside about Brandt’s future.

Falk claims that Arsenal have been in contact over a move for Brandt for some time now.

However, Falk notes that Arsenal are now ‘more interested than ever before’ as they weigh up a move for Brandt this summer.

Falk highlights that Brandt has wanted to move to the Premier League in recent years after seeing close friend Kai Havertz join Chelsea.

The German reporter adds that Tottenham have ‘knocked at the door’ for Brandt and Dortmund may face a battle to keep him.

Brandt is out of contract in 2024 and Dortmund may now need to make him a big offer to stay.

Arsenal’s Julian Brandt is chasing a league title

Brandt, 26, has long been tipped as a star of the future and, at one stage, it looked like he may be a case of unfulfilled potential.

The former Bayer Leverkusen star has been exceptional this season though, racking up eight goals and four assists in 23 games.

Brandt played an important role for Dortmund on Friday night as they beat RB Leipzig 2-1.

That means Dortmund sit top of the Bundesliga table and are pushing for a first league title since 2012.

Arsenal are chasing a title of their own and there is a real prospect of Brandt winning a title with Dortmund before joining the Premier League champions this summer.

That would be a fascinating move and give Mikel Arteta another versatile attacking threat.

Brandt has played on both flanks and as a number 10 for Dortmund this season with Arteta no doubt seeing real quality in the German.

With Arsenal seemingly ramping up their interest, Brandt is a name to keep close tabs on this summer.
