It’s getting close to decision time for Eddie Nketiah at Arsenal.

By January, the 22-year-old will only have six months left on his contract at the Emirates Stadium.

And having failed to play a minute of Premier League football this season, the Arsenal hitman will probably look to leave.

Mikel Arteta has repeatedly claimed that the Gunners want Nketiah to sign a new deal in North London.

But Charles Watts, who exclusively covers Arsenal for Goal.com, claims that that the club’s hierarchy will be happy for him to leave if a deal can be arranged.

He told his YouTube channel: “He’s not playing any Premier League football at the moment, hasn’t played a minute all season.

“So if a deal can be done for Eddie in January, then I don’t think they’re going to stand in his way.”

Sensible?

Yeah, pretty much.

The bottom line is that if Nketiah was as important to Arsenal as Arteta claims, he wouldn’t be out in the cold.

This is a player who the Spaniard labelled ‘phenomenal‘ last year, but his lack of minutes don’t lie this time around.

Truth is, Nketiah is pretty much finished at the Emirates and any money Arsenal can get in the winter, they’re going to take.

Becauses things stand, he’s leaving his boyhood club for free if not sale materialises in January.
