Arsenal surely won’t be re-signing Jaidon Anthony this summer after the winger decided to commit his future to Bournemouth.

The Gunners were linked with a host of wingers during the January window.

Missing out on Mykhailo Mudryk sparked rumours surrounding Ferran Torres, Raphinha and even Kaoru Mitoma.

Leandro Trossard ended up joining instead but Arsenal were will linked with another addition out wide.

The Daily Mail reported that Arsenal were eyeing a move for Jaidon Anthony, either in January or the summer.

It was suggested that Arsenal were plotting to sign Anthony on the cheap as his contract talks with Bournemouth weren’t progressing.

Scheduled to be out of contract this summer, Anthony was viewed as a potentially shrewd addition for the Gunners – but their hopes of a cheap deal have been dashed.

Arsenal target Jaidon Anthony signs new Bournemouth deal

Anthony has decided to stay put at Bournemouth and sign a new contract.

The Cherries confirmed on Friday that Anthony has signed a new four-and-a-half-year deal, keeping him at the Vitality Stadium until 2027.

The 23-year-old has started seven Premier League games this season and come off the bench in another 10, contributing three goals for Bournemouth.

Anthony has shown promising signs this season and that’s ultimately why Arsenal were considering bringing him back to North London.

Anthony started his career with Arsenal way back in 2006, joining the Gunners academy ranks at the age of just six.

The winger stayed with Arsenal for 10 years but was let go at 16 with the Gunners seemingly feeling that other young talents were ahead of him.

Anthony has gone away, worked on his game and built himself back up to become a Premier League player with Bournemouth.

Arsenal were seemingly interested in offering Anthony an emotional return but he is staying on the South Coast unless the Gunners come up with a hefty offer.
