Real Valladolid talent Ivan Fresneda is expected to decide his future today as he weighs up whether to join Arsenal or Borussia Dortmund.
That’s according to The Athletic, who claim that both Arsenal and Dortmund have agreed terms with Valladolid.
The two clubs have agreed to pay €15million (£13.1million) for Fresneda and the decision is now down to him.
Newcastle United were interested but are now understood to have dropped out of the race as they move on to other targets.
The report adds that Arsenal and Dortmund have agreed to let Fresneda return to Valladolid on loan until the end of the season.
Fresneda can therefore continue his development in Spain before joining up with his new club in the summer.

Arsenal have a strong chance of winning Ivan Fresneda race
These latest reports come after Goal claimed that Fresneda’s agent Luis Bardaji had visited Arsenal’s training ground.
Bardaji’s trip to London Colney will have given Arsenal real hope of a deal and the Gunners have plenty to offer.
Look at how many young players have been shining and developing at a rapid rate under Mikel Arteta.
Fresneda will have surely noticed the progress of players like Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Eddie Nketiah and William Saliba.
Arsenal look to be building something truly special and Fresneda should absolutely want to be a part of that.
Playing under a fellow Spaniard in Arteta should also appeal to Fresneda, whilst his attacking ability up the right flank is different to anything Arsenal really have in that role.
The 18-year-old has enormous potential and must now made a big decision on his future – and we think a move to Arsenal would be great for a talent like Fresneda.
