Everton are keen on Sandro Ramirez but face competition from Arsenal.
Malaga’s Sandro Ramirez
Everton’s hopes of signing Malaga forward Sandro Ramirez could be dented by serious interest from Arsenal.
The Times reported earlier this month that Everton have agreed personal terms with Ramirez, who has a £5 million release clause in his Malaga contract.
Sandro is claimed to be keen on a Premier League move, and Arsenal’s interest complicates matters.
The Mail reported last night that Sandro Ramirez has emerged as a ‘serious target’ for Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal, along with Malaga teammate Pablo Fornals.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger
Wenger is claimed by the paper to be under pressure from Arsenal’s board to be more proactive in the transfer market and get his business done quicker than in previous seasons.
Ramirez, 21, has made a real name for himself this past season after leaving Barcelona last summer.
The forward has scored 16 goals in 31 games this season in all competitions, 14 coming in La Liga. At £5 million he would be an absolute bargain for either club.
While Arsenal’s interest is a threat for Everton, they do not have Champions League football to offer, and the Toffees will still be hopeful they can persuade the Spaniard to make the move to Goodison.
