Arsenal defender Harry Clarke will join Hibernian on loan in the January transfer window, according to The Scottish Sun.

The report has claimed that Hibernian have reached an agreement with Arsenal over signing Clarke on loan this week.

The 20-year-old defender will stay on loan at the Scottish Premiership club until May.

Clarke, described as ‘a ball-playing defender’ on Arsenal’s official website, will leave Arsenal for Hibernian this weeks according to the report.

Harry Clarke leaving Arsenal for Hibernian on loan makes sense

In our opinion, it makes sense for Clarke to leave Arsenal on loan for Hibernian in the January transfer window.

Arsenal are well stocked in central defence, and the 20-year-old is unlikely to play for the first team anytime soon.

Clarke has been recalled from his loan spell at Ross County.

The youngster, who started as a midfielder and can now play as a right-back or as a central defender, scored three goals and gave two assists in 17 appearances for County.

Hibernian are fifth in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 29 points from 20 matches.

Clarke will hope to make an impact at Hibs and help the team push for the third place.
